Hello everyone,
I decided to duplicate the existing CCL LED map today. During the process, I also created variants with CCL6 and Bukit Brown in them.

While I have wanted to do this for many yeas, my motivation was recently given a boost by a video promoting the newest C851E trains from the Land Transport Authority. The LED back panel for the map makes an appearance, with an unused bulb between HarbourFront and Telok Blangah.

This is probably a result of the necessity to allocate a space for Bukit Brown between Botanic Gardens and HarbourFront. Since the format is consistent with the existing C830 trains, it's likely they also have the unused bulb. Once Bukit Brown is in operation, every station from Caldecott onward will then be shifted one slot forward to fill up the missing gap.
I first created a mockup of what the completed Circle Line will look like once CCL6 opens in 2026, followed by the one once Bukit Brown opens in the indeterminable future.

If I were honest, I greatly prefer the LED maps to the LCD displays, and hope that LTA retains these instead. They are easier on the eyes and not as distracting, with advertisements, animations and unnecessary data playing on the side.
They can also be easily preserved, while the dynamic displays will be lost once the system is deprecated. For example, all the STARIS 2 video clips (while terrible) will be locked up in SMRT's archives once the R151's DRMD becomes the nominal standard.
I hope you have enjoyed this post.
